MOVIES !!!!! Wrong Target’ Set For The Cinemas

The Ghanaian movie industry is definitely on the ascendency. Gone are the days when movie storylines were so predictable that once they began, you knew exactly how they were going to end. With new entrants such as Blue Ray Pictures, that era of predictability may be coming to an end. Blue Ray Pictures’ first movie WRONG TARGET featuring John Dumelo, Yvonne Nelson, Christabel Ekeh and Agyekum Kufour (son of the formal president) promises a unique movie experience characterized as a welcomed departure from the norm.
The multiple conflicts in WRONG TARGET are woven together perfectly, and they develop into an explosive crescendo where Kofi Aggrey (Dumelo) proves that in spite of his seeming wimpy personality as a software developer, he can quickly trade his business suits for a Rambo-like demeanor that dwarfs the mean spirits of the two competing gangs in the movie.
The movie is a welcomed departure from the everyday story we see on movie markets. Likewise the twists and mechanisms placed in the story. According Christabel Ekeh (a nominee in the New Actress category of the Nigeria Reinvented Awards) she said, “Upon watching the movie, I got lost at a point even though I acted in it. Every scene was on point and I’m glad to be a part of such project.”
But as intriguing as WRONG TARGET’S storyline is, perhaps the action movie’s most interesting attribute is the special effects that Ace director/editor Samuel Owusu Asare incorporated into the finished product. From the impressive car explosion and an absolute to marvel visual effects, Blue Ray Pictures’ debut effort promises to carve out a niche in the Ghanaian movie industry not yet ventured into.
In addition, viewers are treated to extra features such as interviews of cast and crew members, deleted scenes, and behind the scenes footage. WRONG TARGET premieres on Friday, the 7th of September
