Elections in African countries have often been fraught with several challenges ranging from snatching of ballot boxes, inciting violence and instigating various crimes against each other.
African countries in particular have been flagged over the years for the lack of the practice of full democracy sometimes resulting in civil wars, social and economic unrest. This very unfortunate phenomenon has left many developing countries virtually lacking behind in socio-economic development due largely to unstable political environment. Somalia, Mali, Liberia, Rwanda are just but countries plagued with such nefarious activities.
So as the presidential elections in Ghana nears this December, “The Pledge”, a movie featuring the likes of Fred Amugi, Grace Nortey, Akorfa Asiedu-Adjeani, Adjetey Annang, Roselyn Ngissah, son of former President John Agyekum Kufuor who plays the role of his father and many more exciting faces, set to sensitize people on the need for a peaceful ballot and the adverse consequences thereof in the absence of it.
